ORDINANCE NO. %pa9-d'o2 <br />ORDINANCE SETTING $1,500.00 AS THE AMOUNT TO BE PAID <br />FOR FUNERAL BENEFITS FROM THE 1925 POLICE PENSION FUND <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: <br />Indiana Code 19- 1 -24 -3, which provided for the payment of <br />funeral benefits to the heirs or estate of any active or retired <br />member of the police force who has suffered death from any cause, no <br />less than $600.00 as the amount to be set by ordinance, has been <br />superseded by Indiana Code 36- 8 -6 -10, which increases that minimum <br />amount to $1,500.00.
