Authority for this procedure is derived from Indiana <br />Code § 36-4-8-14. <br />During the Council's deliberations on Bill 22-08, Council's attorney recommended that <br />the South Bend Municipal Code be amended to codify this authority. The attached ordinance <br />will do just that. <br />I will present this ordinance to the Common Council at its committee meeting and at the <br />public hearing.
