Life IS On I Schneider
OEIectric
Executive Summary
Schneider Electric is pleased to provide this final Year 1 savings report to the City of La Porte. In November
2017 the City of La Porte, IN entered an energy services performance contract with Schneider Electric that
focused on upgrading the lighting systems and added building envelope weatherization in several city
buildings, replacing water meters throughout the city, and proving a turnkey solar project installation. This
report includes the savings results of the Solar scope of work as well as a summary of the Water Meter
Replacement, Lighting Retrofit, and other scopes that were detailed in an earlier report.
Financial Impact
Schneider Electric guaranteed the city that a total of $24,292,839 in cost savings would be realized over a 20
year period. In Year 1, the city was guaranteed to save a total of $819,376 from energy and water savings as
well as operations and maintenance savings. The measured energy and water savings accounted for $735,498
of the Guarantee during Year 1 and the Non -Measured energy and 0&M made up the remaining $83,877. The
measured savings from the Lighting and Water Meter Replacement scope was verified using an Option A
approach and the Solar scope was verified using an Option B approach as described in the following sections.
After analyzing the measurements taken for the two
Option A approaches, and the Solar production over the
last year, Schneider Electric has determined that the
total savings achieved in Year 1 were $1,064,524. That's
$245,148 above the Year 1 Guarantee. The breakout of
savings by ECM included in this report can be seen in the
Year 1 Saving Breakout chart to the right.
Year 1 Savings Breakout
Option g Solar,
Non -Measured
Operation &
Maintenance,
Option A
Lighting, $25,97
Option A Water
Meter
Replacement, Non -Measured
$838,364 Energy, $5,483
