HUD requires subrecipients to evaluate and certify the eligibility of program <br /> participants at least once every 3 months for all persons receiving medium-term rental <br /> assistance or other ESG assistance. <br /> Similarly,subrecipients should carefully assess a household's need and appropriateness for <br /> ESG assistance. If the household needs more intensive supportive services or long-term <br /> assistance than the subrecipient can provide, or if a household is not at risk of imminent <br /> homelessness, subrecipients must work to link them to other appropriate available <br /> resources. <br /> City of South Bend - ESG Policies and Procedures Manual 32 <br />
