Home Remodeling Services <br />R <br />M&M ECONOMY SYSTEMM&M ECONOMY SYSTEMDESCRIPTION: <br />Architectural Shingles: IKO Cambridge shingles shall be applied according to manufacturer’s specifi cations. <br />Their dimensional profi le and deep shadow bands evoke the upscale appearance of natural wood shakes, <br />creating a high-end designer look at an aff ordable cost. <br />Starter Shingles: At both the eaves and rakes, M&M will provide and install starter strip shingles to help <br />prevent blow-off and provide cleaner, straighter roof edges. The continuous sealant ensures an eff ective bond <br />between the starter and fi rst course of shingles. <br />Hips and Ridges: The closest matching three-tab shingle will be used to protect the roof’s hips and ridges. <br />SyntheticUnderlayment: A layer of RhinoRoof U20 underlayment shall be applied horizontally over the roof <br />deck using plastic cap nails, lapping each course over lower courses at a two-inch minimum. <br />Ice & WaterShield: M&M will provide and install Ice and Water Barrier. This self-sealing product contains <br />fl exible rubberized asphalt and a fi berglass-reinforced membrane. Ice and water shield will be installed at the <br />eaves, extending no less than 24” inside heated wall space of the structure, according to building codes. If <br />applicable, a 36”-wide roll will also be installed and centered in any valleys, and also applied around chimneys <br />and under fl ashings. <br />Roof/Attic Ventilation: M&M will replace the existing exhaust ventilation. <br />Pipe Flashing: New pipe fl ashing shall be installed in place of the existing fl ashings. <br />Step Flashing: If applicable, where the roof meets a vertical wall, 5” x 7” aluminum step fl ashing shall be <br />applied between shingle courses. <br />Chimney fl ashing: If applicable, a pre-bent aluminum step fl ashing shall be installed up the sides of the <br />chimney and saddled between shingle courses. A metal counter fl ashing shall be installed to control moisture <br />entry. <br />L-Flashing: If applicable, L-Flashing shall be installed to help prevent water penetration. <br />IKO Material Warranty: IKO Cambridge shingles have a lifetime limited warranty and a 10-year Iron Clad <br />protection period (U.S. only). *Please see manufacturer’s warranty for full details. <br />M&M Workmanship Warranty (Non-Transferrable): Additionally, M&M shall guarantee your new roof to be <br />watertight for a period of 2 years as it relates to our workmanship. This warranty is conditional on full payment <br />of the contract and limited to material & labor to bring your roof to a watertight condition.
