INTER-OFFICE MEMORANDUM <br /> DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br /> DIVISION OF ENGINEERING <br />TO: Theresa Heffner, Clerk <br />Board of Public Works <br />FROM: Patrick Sherman <br />SUBJECT: Studebaker Museum HVAC <br />Project Number 124-020 <br />DATE: 11/21/2024 <br />On October 22nd, 2024, the Board of Public Works opened and read two quotes for the above <br />project. The quote request included M/WBE requirements. Neither of the quotes received met the <br />goals in the quote request nor the good faith effort requirements of the program plan. After further <br />review with the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, it was determined that the work in the quote <br />request could not be practically commercially sub-divided, and so Public Works was able to <br />submit new quote requests without the M/WBE requirements in the original. <br />The Department of Public Works recommends rejecting both quotes. Public Works would ask <br />that we reject quotes at the review meeting. New quotes have been requested from all original <br />firms without the requirements and are due on November 26th, 2024. <br />Thank you and please call with any questions. <br />November 21, 2024
