:7
South Bend Redevelopment Authority
Special Meeting -February 3, 1994
4.
NEW BUSINESS (Cont.)
c. continued...
Mr. Riggs explained that this Addendum to the I & M agreement is related to
the major power line move. Part of the new path of the relocated power lines
crosses Indiana Toll Road property. Toll Road policy is to not grant
easements. They granted I & M the right to be on their property, but that
right can be revoked at any time. In this agreement the City promises to
provide land necessary for another relocation if the Toll Road should require
I & M them to move. We have reserved land in the corporate park for that
purpose, should it be necessary.
Upon a motion by Mr. Gammage, seconded by Mr. Wroblewski and
unanimously carried, the Authority approved the Addendum to Agreement
with Indiana Michigan Power Company.
n
~J
d. (Nimtz Parkway)
Ms. Manier explained that a portion of Nimtz Parkway runs east from the
Mayflower Road. It is property that we acquired from the Airport Authority,
over which to construct a portion of Nimtz Parkway. This deed dedicates that
property as public right-of--way as a road. The road is being completed in
stages and we will be dedicating the portions to public use in stages.
Upon a motion by Mr. Gammage, seconded by Mr. Wroblewski and
unanimously carried, the Authority approved the Grant and Dedication of
Easement to Public Use.
