COMMUNITY INVESTMENT <br />4:55 P.M. <br />Committee Members Present: <br />FEBRUARY 25, 2013 <br />Gavin Ferlic, Valerie Schey, Henry Davis, Dr. Ferlic <br />Other Council Present: Tim Scott, David Varner, Oliver Davis, Karen White, Derek Dieter <br />Others: <br />Agenda: UEA Recommendation to Appoint <br />HRC Recommendation to Appoint <br />Redevelopment Commission Recommendation to Appoint <br />Gavin Ferlic called his Community Investment Committee to order to consider recommendations for <br />appointment to three different Boards. <br />The first was an appointment to the Urban Enterprise Association. Councilmember Schey nominated <br />Amy Lee; but she did not meet the required criteria. Consequently the application period was re- opened. <br />Muhammed Shabazz was nominated for the Human Rights Commission by Gavin Ferlic. Valerie Schey <br />seconded an all affirmed. <br />Appointment to the Redevelopment Commission continued. <br />Under miscellaneous the Committee suggested more be done for Jersey Mikes Sub Shop recently forced <br />out of the College Football Hall of Fame. <br />There being no further business to come before the committee at this time, Chairperson Gavin Ferlic, <br />adjourned the meeting at 5:22 p.m. <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br />Gavin Ferlic, Chairperson <br />Community & Economic Development Committee <br />
