BILL NO. 74 -83 ORDINANCE NO. Z�g 4 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 1983 SALARY ORDINANCE NO.7080 -82 FIXING THE MAXIMUM SALARIES AND WAGES OF CERTAIN APPOINTED OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND FOR THE YEAR 1983. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT In the proposed reorganization of Century Center, .four new positions will be created in order to increase the efficiency of the operations of the Center. These positions will be filled with existing personnel who will be given increased responsibility. Nora, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: SECTION I. The positions of Marketing and Scheduling Assistant, Marketing and Events Administrator Director, Finance and Administration Director, and Auditor II be included in the 1983 salary ordinance under Century Center. SECTION II. The maximum salaries and wages for the following appointed officers and employees after the first of August, 1983, shall be as follows: POSITION Century Center Marketing & Scheduling Assistant Marketing & Events Administrative Director Finance & Administrative Director Auditor II 1983 PROPOSED ANNUAL SALARY /TIAGES $18,221 18,221 26,392 16,631 1983 SALARY FROM AUG. 1 THROUGH DEC. 31 $ 7,709 7,709 11,166 7,036 SECTION III. That the position of Marketing & Events Administration Director be also funded from Hotel /Motel Taxes for $1,979 for a total salary of $20,200 and that the position of Finance and Administration Director also be funded from Hotel /Motel Taxes for $3,608 for a total salary of $30,000. SECTION IV. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after August 1, 1983, passage by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor.
