PARENT, Mayor <br />COUNTY -CITY BUILDING SOUTH BEND, INDIANA 46601 <br />September 6, 1983 <br />Mrs. Irene Gammon <br />City Clerk <br />4th Floor County -City Building <br />South Bend, Indiana 46601 <br />RE: Corrections to Ordinance No. 7225 -83 <br />Dear Irene: <br />AREA 219 284 -9261 <br />It has come to my attention that Ordinance No. 7225 -83, the <br />1984 City Employees Salary Ordinance, as presented to me <br />for my signature had certain typographical errors on page 8, <br />under the Century Center heading and the 1984 Salary /Wages <br />column, as follows: <br />Cashier should be 5.90 and Mechanic III <br />Maintenance should be 7.47. <br />It is my understanding that these rates were passed by the <br />Council, rather than the figures listed in the Ordinance <br />presented to me (7.76 and 7.33 respectively). <br />To correct this clerical error, while maintaining a record <br />that the Salary Ordinance was passed within the ten days <br />required, would you please forward to me for my signature <br />a corrected Ordinance No. 7225 -83, together with a certi- <br />fication from you that this corrected version is presented <br />for my signature merely to correct certain typographical <br />errors contained in the original version presented and sign- <br />ed by me.
