Brisco as the Corporation Counsel for the City of South Bend. Brisco is an attorney in the Litigation and Labor and Employment departments with Barnes & ho burg LLP in the firm's downtown South Bend office. She has worked at the firm since 2006. "Cristal will be an outstanding addition to the City of South Bend," Mayor Butti(yieg said. "She will be a key leader—not only in the Legal Department—but throughout the City administration when it comes to representing the City and implementing policy. I am thrilled she is joining our leadership team." "I am honored to join Mayor Pete's leadership team as Corporation Counsel," Brisco said. "I look forward to working with the talented and dedicated individuals in the City's Legal Department and the Mayor's Office, as well as with the Common Council, to best serve the citizens of South Bend." At Barnes & Thornburg LLP, Brisco represented corporate and government clients before state courts, federal courts, and administrative agencies. She prepared litigation budgets, negotiated a wide range of legal agreements, developed employee handbooks and policy manuals, directed internal investigations, and drafted complaints, responsive pleadings, pre-trial motions, discovery requests and responses, mediation submissions, and briefs.
