Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />A. Approval of Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Thursday, August 22, 2024 <br /> <br />Upon a motion by Vivian Sallie for approval, second by David Relos, the <br />motion carried unanimously; the Commission approved the Thursday, <br />August 22, 2024 regular meeting minutes on September 12, 2024. <br /> <br />3. Approval of Claims <br /> <br />A. Claims Allowances 08.28.2024 <br />B. Claims Allowances 08.28.2024 <br /> <br />Upon a motion by David Relos for approval, second by Eli Wax, the <br />motion carried unanimously; the Commission approved the claims <br />allowances of September 12, 2024. <br /> <br />4. Old Business <br /> <br />A. None <br /> <br />5. New Business <br /> <br />A. Redevelopment Fund (a.k.a Pokagon Fund) <br /> <br />1. Budget Request (YSB and South Bend Thrive) <br /> <br />Erik Glavich, Director of Growth and Opportunity presented the budget <br />request of $120K covers the construction of sidewalks throughout the <br />project site at the Youth Services Bureau and South Bend Thrive <br />Development, which is taking place on the east side near the corner of <br />McKinley and Hickory. There will be a community center and housing <br />for at-risk youth, in addition to other services that will be provided <br />there. The funding support for this project has not come before the <br />RDC prior. This is a supplemental request that would allow the <br />completion of the sidewalks on the site. <br /> <br /> <br />Commissioner David Relos asked if the photo was slightly different <br />from what has been constructed and Caleb Bauer, Executive Director <br />of Community Investment stated that was correct and in a closer look <br />at the photo there is a driveway that loops and has a street pattern
