Bianca Tirado <br />City Clerk, South Bend, IN <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA, ANNEXING TO AND BRINGING WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF SOUTH <br />BEND, INDIANA, AND AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE FOR PROPERTY <br />LOCATED AT 25471, 25481, AND 25491 CLEVELAND ROAD, COUNCILMANIC <br />DISTRICT NO. 1 IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br />Petitioners desire to annex and rezone 25471, 25481, and 25491 Cleveland Road from <br />R Single Family District in Unincorporated St. Joseph County to I Industrial in the City <br />of South Bend <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, <br />Indiana, as follows: <br />SECTION I. That the following described real estate is situated in St. Joseph County, <br />Indiana, being contiguous by more than one -eighth (1 /8) of its aggregate external boundaries with <br />the present boundaries of the City of South Bend, Indiana, shall be and hereby is annexed to and <br />brought within the City of South Bend: <br />THAT PART OF THE SOUTH HALF OF SECTION 24 AND THE NORTH HALF OF <br />SECTION 25, BOTH IN TOWNSHIP 38 NORTH, RANGE 1 EAST, WARREN TOWNSHIP, <br />ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, INDIANA, WHICH IS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS: <br />NORTHWEST CORNER OF A PARCEL OF GROUND DESCRIBED IN DEED DOCUMENT <br />NUMBER 9349703 IN THE RECORDS OF THE ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, INDIANA <br />RECORDER'S OFFICE; THENCE EAST (ALL BEARINGS ASSUMED) ALONG THE <br />NORTH LINE OF SAID PARCEL AND THE EXISTING CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />MUNICIPAL CORPORATE LIMIT LINE, A DISTANCE OF 706.79 FEET MORE OR LESS <br />TO THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF A PARCEL OF GROUND DESCRIBED IN SAID DEED <br />DOCUMENT; THENCE SOUTH ALONG THE EAST LINE OF SAID PARCEL AND ITS <br />SOUTHERLY EXTENSION, A DISTANCE OF 1356.5 FEET MORE OR LESS TO A POINT <br />ON THE SOUTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF CLEVELAND ROAD; THENCE WEST ALONG <br />SAID SOUTH LINE, A DISTANCE OF 727.2 FEET MORE OR LESS TO THE <br />INTERSECTION OF THE SOUTH LINE OF SAID CLEVELAND ROAD WITH THE WEST <br />RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF POPPY ROAD; THENCE NORTH, A DISTANCE OF 80 FEET <br />MORE OR LESS TO THE NORTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF SAID CLEVELAND ROAD; <br />THENCE EAST ALONG SAID NORTH LINE, A DISTANCE OF 40 FEET MORE OR LESS, <br />
