• South Bend Redevelopment Authority
Special Meeting -February 5, 1993
3. NEW BUSINESS
a. continued...
from the taxable bond (the Blackthorn Corporate sites); and 4) adds four
pieces of land acquired from the Industrial Foundation. The other terms of the
lease remain the same.
Upon a motion by Mr. Fewell, seconded by Mr. Wroblewski and unanimously
carried, the Authority approved Resolution No. 70 approving execution of the
Second Amendment to Lease for the Airport Economic Development Area
Taxable and Public Improvement Project.
b. Authority approval reauested for Resolution No 71 approving the Transfer of
Real Property to the City of South Bend.
~~
Mrs. Kolata noted that Memorial Hospital has indicated to Southhold
Restorations that they are willing to donate as many as four houses near
Memorial Hospital, which would otherwise be torn down, if Southhold
Restorations could move them to a new location. Two of the houses are
available to Southhold Restorations now and they are interested in moving
them to Monroe Park. ®ne lot they would like to use is owned by the
Authority, leased to the Commission, and subleased to the Housing
Development Corporation by way of the City of South Bend. It is a large
piece of property including a house and a vacant lot. The HDC is willing to
let Southhold Restorations have the vacant lot. The simplest way to transfer it
to them is to take it out of the lease. We will bring another amendment to the
lease to the Authority at a later date, but would like to transfer the lot to the
Board of Public Works at this time.
Upon a motion by Mr. Wroblewski, seconded. by Mr. Fewell and unanimously
carried, the Authority approved Resolution No. 71 approving the Transfer of
Real Property to the City of South Bend and authorized execution of related
documents.
-2-
