BILL NO. <br />ORDINANCE NO. q q D 9 -�/ K <br />AN ORDINANCE SETTING THE ANNUAL SALARY OF THE <br />MAYOR FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 1989. <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: <br />The Council is required by the Indiana law to set the annual compensation <br />of all elected City officers. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE SOUTH BEND COMMON COUNCIL, as <br />follows: <br />SECTION I: The Mayor of the City of South Bend shall be paid from the <br />General Fund the following annual salary for the calendar year 1989: <br />1989: $59,492 <br />SECTION II: The City Clerk shall publish this ordinance twice in two (2) <br />English language newspapers of general circulation at least thirty (30) days prior <br />to the date of the final passage by the Common Council. <br />SECTION III: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and <br />after its adoption by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor. <br />1st rEAD1ti-G <br />PUBLIC 'HEARING <br />2nd READING <br />NOT APPROVED <br />REFERRED <br />PASSED <br />w wen's guts <br />JUL ' 1988 <br />GHQ <br />�a BEGS: �: <br />
