ZONING & ANNEXATION <br />3:45 P.M. <br />February 25, 2013 <br />Committee Members Present: Dr. Fred Ferlic, Oliver Davis, Henry Davis, Gavin Ferlic <br />Other Council Present: Tim Scott, Valerie Schey, Dr. David Varner, Karen White, Derek Dieter <br />Others Present: John Byorni <br />Agenda: Zoning Procedure Change — Byorni <br />HP Recommendation — Republican <br />Goals & Objectives 2013 <br />Approve Zoning & Annexation Brochure <br />Dr. Fred Ferlic conducted a meeting of his Zoning and Annexation Committee to address what were <br />regarded as a few "housekeeping" items on the agenda. <br />The first item was a request to ratify a recommendation from John Byorni, Director of the Area Plan <br />Commission. John wanted to add the requirement of a final site plan to be submitted by the petitioner for <br />any rezoning request. The final site plan should reflect any changes suggested by the APC at their <br />hearing before being submitted to Council for final action. <br />The second item was a request from the Historic Preservation Commission to extend the deadline for <br />application for appointment to the Commission. Henry Davis raised concern about procedural precedent. <br />However, because the position needs to be a Republican, it has yet to be filled. Without Henry's vote the <br />deadline was relaxed. <br />Dr. Ferlic deferred discussion of 2013 goal & objectives in the interest of adhering to the hearing <br />schedule. <br />Before adjourning at 4:10 p.m., Dr. Ferlic distributed a new Zoning & Annexation brochure (A copy is on <br />file in the Office of the City Clerk. <br />There being no further business to come before the joint committees, Chairperson, Dr. Fred Ferlic, Zoning <br />& Annexation Committee, adjourned the meeting at 4:10 p.m. <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br />Dr. Fred Ferlic, Chairperson <br />Zoning & Annexation Committee <br />
