Klosinski, P.E., Assistant City Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Agenda Request – Amendment to Professional Services Agreement <br />119-069 WWTP Secondary and Disinfection Improvements <br />Amendment No. 2 (PO-0000413) <br />DATE: July 1, 2024 <br /> <br />The Division of Engineering and Division of Wastewater request the Board of Public Works <br />approval of an Amendment to a Professional Services Agreement with Arcadis US, Inc. for <br />additional engineering services related to hydraulic improvements at the Wastewater Treatment <br />Plant. <br /> <br />Project Background <br />In conjunction with Long Term Control Plan and Consent Decree objectives as well as the <br />hydraulic analysis from the 2013 Wastewater Treatment Plant Facilities Plan, the scope of work <br />for this Amendment addresses Primary Clarifier and Secondary Treatment hydraulic <br />improvements to convey 100 MGD wet weather flows through Secondary Treatment. <br /> <br />Item 1: Primary Clarifier Effluent Channel Improvements <br />This work includes the expansion of the effluent channel Parshall flumes and removes an <br />existing, non-functional flow meter that has created a restriction in the Primary effluent piping. <br /> <br />Item 2: Upsizing Secondary Clarifier Influent Pipe to Final Clarifier 6 & Final Clarifier 7 <br />This work includes the replacement of a 66-inch diameter pipe with an 84-inch diameter pipe as <br />well as structural improvements to junction chambers to carry flow from the Final Clarifier <br />Influent Channel at the Aeration Gallery to Final Clarifier 6 and Final Clarifier 7. <br /> <br />The contract amounts will change as follows: <br />Original agreement amount: $793,770.00 <br />Net change for prior amendments: $175,100.00 <br />Amendment No. 2 amount: $130,200.00 <br />Adjusted agreement amount: $1,099,090.00 <br /> <br /> <br />This project is funded through Wastewater Capital Account: 641-06-605-514-431002. <br /> <br />For questions regarding the subject agenda request, contact Jacob M.
