Klosinski, P.E., Assistant City Engineer <br />SUBJECT: 121-070B Fellows Booster Pump Station - Contract A (Yard Piping and <br />Installation) <br />Agenda Request – Bid Award Recommendation <br />DATE: May 28, 2024 <br /> <br />Public Works, the Divisions of Engineering and Division of Water Works have reviewed the subject <br />Waste Treatment Chemicals Wastewater 2024-2025 bids and provides its recommendations as <br />noted below for the Board of Public Works review. The two bids submitted were determined to be <br />complete and met all bidding requirements for the general construction contract work. (Niles, Michigan) ($70,000.00) –Deduct <br /> <br />Bid Award Recommendation: <br /> <br />Public Works, the Division of Engineering and Division of Water Works recommends the Board of <br />Public Works award the BASE BID for Project No. 121-070B Fellow Booster Pump Station – <br />Contract B (Yard Piping and Installation) to the lowest, responsive, and responsible bidder, <br />Selge Construction Company, Inc. (Niles, Illinois) in the amount of $3,724,000.00. <br /> <br />The review team does not recommend awarding any alternates. The alternate deducts savings <br />would have been minor since they would have impacted an increase in Procurement Contract A <br />and were determined to be of minimal value to modify the Base Bid work. <br /> <br /> <br />
