A 338 by 150 foot parcel.located <br />on Washington Street, between <br />Summitt Drive and Lombardy Drive <br />PETITION FOR REZONING <br />TO: Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana <br />Date Filed <br />Application Number <br />Date Area Plan Commission Received <br />Shamrock Ford Truck Sales, Inc., 4707 West Western <br />Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, and Ford Leasing Development Company, <br />Dearborn, Michigan, hereby make application and petition the Common <br />Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, to amend the Zoning <br />Ordinance of the City of South Bend, Indiana, as herein requested. <br />(1) The property sought to be rezoned is a 338 by 150 foot parcel <br />located on Washington Street, between Summit Drive and <br />Lombardy Drive, in the City of South Bend, State of Indiana. <br />(2) The name of the property owner is Ford Leasing Development <br />Company. Shamrock Ford Truck Sales, Inc. is the prospective <br />tenant and user of the subject parcel. <br />(3) It is desired and rquested that this property be rezoned from <br />B- Residential "A" Height and Area District, to C- Commercial <br />"A" Height and Area District. <br />(4) This parcel was previously rezoned by the Common Council in <br />1980,but, due to economic considerations, your petitioners <br />did not proceed with construction of the necessary improve- <br />ments within the time provided by law. This rezoning is re- <br />quested so as to allow the following use: Expansion of space <br />available for parking and storage of motor vehicles by Ford <br />Dealership, Shamrock Ford Truck Sales, Inc., 4707 West <br />Western Avenue, South Bend, Indiana. <br />(5) Attached and made a part hereof are copies of the following: <br />
