ORDINANCE NO. ,7ge -wk3 <br />ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND TO ISSUE ITS "ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />REVENUE BONDS, SERIES 1983 (STEEL WAREHOUSE <br />CO., INC. PROJECT)" AND APPROVING OTHER <br />ACTIONS IN RESPECT THERETO <br />WHEREAS, the South Bend Economic Development Commission has <br />rendered its Project Report for the Steel Warehouse Co., Inc. Project <br />regarding the financing of proposed economic development facilities <br />for Steel Warehouse Co., Inc., and the Area Plan Commission has <br />commented favorably thereon; and <br />WHEREAS, the South Bend Common Council conducted a public <br />hearing on December 30, 1983, after publishing reasonable notice <br />thereof as required by law and on December 30, 1983, gave approval <br />for the Project; and <br />WHEREAS, the South Bend Economic Development Commission con- <br />ducted a public hearing on December 29, 1983, and also adopted a <br />resolution on December 29, 1983, which Resolution has been transmitted <br />hereto, finding that the financing of certain economic development <br />facilities of Steel Warehouse Co., Inc. complies with the purposes <br />and provisions of I.C. 36 -7 -12 and that such financing will be of <br />benefit to the health and welfare of the City of South Bend and its <br />citizens; and <br />WHEREAS, the South Bend Economic Development Commission has <br />heretofore approved and recommended the adoption of this form of <br />Ordinance by this Common Council, has considered the issue of adverse <br />competitive impact and has approved the forms of and has transmitted <br />
