• South Bend Redevelopment Authority <br />Special Meeting - February 28, 1992 <br />3. NEW BUSINESS (Cont.) <br />a. continued... <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Gammage, seconded by Mr. Fewell and <br />unanimously carried, the Authority approved Resolution <br />No. 47 approving and accepting the transfer of real <br />property from the City of South Bend, Indiana. (Mayflower <br />Road ) <br />b. Authority approval requested for Petition to Vacate <br />Public Right-of-Wav. (Butternut Road) <br />Mrs. Kolata explained that this is a petition to the <br />South Bend Common Council to vacate Butternut Road from <br />vacated Douglas Road north to Old Cleveland Road. The <br />length of road to be vacated is 5,320 feet. The Petition <br />to Vacate lists all of the property owners adjacent to <br />the vacation. That portion of road will no longer be <br />needed. <br />Mr. Fewell asked if anyone lives along that stretch of <br />road. Mrs. Kolata responded that the Authority purchased <br />• all of the private property along that portion of <br />Butternut and all of the property owners have moved out. <br />The Hannahs have until the end of March to remove <br />whatever salvage they want. They will be allowed to use <br />the road. It will take a while to .vacate. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Fewell, seconded by Mr. Gammage and <br />unanimously carried, the Authority approved the Petition <br />to Vacate Public Right-of-Way. (Butternut Road) <br />4.
