The "Final Statement of Community Development Objectives and Projected Use of Funds - P.Y. 1984" represents funding for the functional areas of housing, code enforcement, public works, parks, capital improvements, city development, public services, and management and planning. It is significant to note that there are other funds requiring administration by city departments and bureaus available for these functional areas. The Bureau of Housing will administer in 1984 approximately $535,000 for the Section 312, the Urban Homesteading, and the leveraged funds from the South Bend Home Improvement Loan Programs. The Department of Economic Development projects approximately $6 million from the Ethanol Plant Urban Development Action Grant, the Small Business Administration 503 for the Business Development Corporation, and Section 108 Loan Guarantee funds for the East Bank Development Area and the Central Business District. The Division of Community Development will continue the administration of approximately $1.3 million remaining for Jobs Bill projects.
