Substance Abuse Policy <br />R. Yoder Construction has a strong commitment to its employees to provide a <br />safe work environment. This requires that personnel, equipment, and operating <br />practices be consistent with high standards of health and safety. R. Yoder <br />Construction expects all of its employees to report for work free of alcohol and <br />illegal drugs. The presence of illegal drugs or alcohol on the job and the influence <br />................ <br />of these substances on employees are inconsistent with these objectives. <br />................ <br />................ <br />Our policy with respect to drugs is as follows: <br />1. R. Yoder Construction will conduct drug Wor alcohol testing under any <br />of the following circumstances: Pre -employment, Random, Reasonable <br />Cause, and Post -Accident Testing (see a more full description of these <br />circumstances on the next page for more information). <br />................ <br />2. The use, sale, distribution, possession or being under the influence of <br />illegal drugs or alcohol by R. Yoder Construction employees while on the <br />job or on R. Yoder Construction's property is prohibited. Likewise, you may <br />not distribute, misuse, or abuse any prescription medications on R. Yoder <br />. I ..:::.... Construction premises or elsewhere during working time. Any individual <br />violating these rules will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including <br />.... . I . I ...... . . immediate termination of employment. <br />................ <br />............... 1 3. Individuals who appear to be under the influence of a controlled substance <br />................ <br />will be removed from the job immediately and be subject to a drug or alcohol <br />.. .. .. .. . .. test. An employee's refusal to comply with a drug or alcohol test will make <br />• them subject to automatic termination. <br />................ <br />................ <br />.. <br />4. If an employee is injured on the job, the employee will be required to, <br />.............. <br />.. . . ... . .. . at the discretion of Management, submit to a drug and/or alcohol test. <br />An employee testing positive for illegal drugs or found to be under the <br />influence of alcohol will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including <br />termination. An employee's refusal to comply with a drug and alcohol test <br />will make them subject to automatic termination. <br />.............4.4 <br />................ <br />5. R. Yoder Construction's management reserves the right to authorize <br />inspections for possible policy violations. Any illegal substances will be <br />turned over to the appropriate law enforcement and may result in criminal <br />... . . : : . : : I : prosecution. <br />................ <br />................ <br />................ <br />................ <br />NOTE: EMPLOYEES USING A PRESCRIPTION DRUG that may impair their physical <br />. . . . . . . or mental ability and affect the ability to perform duties safely MUST REPORT this <br />to management prior to reporting to work after its use.
