41 <br />The skill of the operating engineer construction craftsman and operating engineer <br />construction driver is a basic natural resource of the industry. In order that there may be <br />continuing activity in promoting the supply of skilled adaptable craftsman of uniform high <br />quality to the industry, the standards set forth herein have been adopted as a joint Labor <br />and Management undertaking. These standards have been adopted and agreed upon <br />under applicable Federal statutes governing apprenticeship labor standards, to govern <br />the employment and training of apprentices as defined to become effective upon their <br />approval. <br />Satisfactory Mix of Properly Trained Personnel <br />The project scope is divided into specific work activities such as universal waste removal, <br />structural dismantling, burners, sorting, and loading. Each crew, consisting of 5-10 <br />personnel, is assigned a particular work activity under the guidance and supervision of the <br />project superintendent. <br />Each crew comprises three essential roles: <br />9. Foreman <br />Renascent assigns an experienced and qualified foreman to handle each specific work <br />activity. The foreman answers to the project superintendents. They convey the work <br />instructions and safety procedures to the crew and ensure that they work efficiently and <br />effectively. <br />2. Journeyman <br />The journeyman assigned to each crew are skilled and experienced in the specific craft <br />function. They are able to safely perform the tasks assigned to them independently as well <br />as supervise and guide the apprentices. The journeyman are very familiar with Renascent's <br />safety policies as well as the specific work plans for their activities. <br />3. Apprentices and Trainees <br />Renascent policy requires a minimum of three journeymen for each apprentice or trainee. <br />Apprentices are always accompanied by a journeyman. Apprentices are enrolled in a <br />recognized training program and have a basic understanding of the work activity. <br />Minimum and Maximum number of Full time craft personnel <br />• Labor & Field Personnel: 200-250 <br />■ Supervision:30-50 <br />Signatory Labor agreements <br />■ Ironworkers <br />• Operators <br />• Laborers <br />= Carpenters <br />Renascent Inc.
