White <br />Absent: None <br />l" District <br />2nd District <br />3rd District President <br />41h District Chairperson, Committee of the Whole <br />51 District <br />6' District <br />At -Large <br />At -Large <br />At -Large Vice - President <br />REPORT FROM THE SUB- COMMITTEE ON MINUTES <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: The sub - committee has inspected the minutes <br />of the November 11, 2002 meeting of the Council and found them to be correct. <br />Therefore, we recommend the same be approved. <br />s/Roland Kelly <br />s/David Varner <br />Councilmember Coleman made a motion that the minutes of the November 11, 2002 meeting of the <br />Council be accepted and placed on file. Councilmember White seconded the motion which carried <br />by a voice vote of nine (9) ayes. <br />SPECIAL BUSINESS <br />RESOLUTION NO. 3135 -02 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />RECOGNIZING AND COMMENDING THE POP <br />WARNER'S SUN DEVILS AS UNDEFEATED <br />FOOTBALL CHAMPIONS <br />WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, notes that the Pop <br />Warner League provides opportunities for over 150 nine and ten year old youths for a safe, family - <br />oriented way to learn to play football, while emphasizing sportsmanship and scholarship; and <br />WHEREAS, the Common Council is proud to honor the Pop Warner's Sun Devils who <br />ended their 2002 football season with an 8 -0 undefeated record; and <br />WHEREAS, the Sun Devils scored 202 points this season, while limiting their opposition <br />to a total of 12 points, and defeated the Merrillville Pirates in the regional tournament by a score of <br />7to6;and <br />-1- <br />
