All rights reserved. <br /> <br />B. Review shop drawings and material selections submittals for the portion of work designed <br />and specified by Engineer. Review of submittals shall be for general conformance with the <br />information given and design concept expressed in the Contract Documents. We will <br />review submittals up to two times for conformance with design. Additional reviews may <br />be requested by the Owner or General Contractor as an additional service. Submittals will <br />be reviewed within ten (10) business days of receipt unless noted otherwise. All scope of <br />services during the construction phase are based on an assumed eight-month long <br />construction period. CA services required after that time will be available as an additional <br />service. <br />C. Prepare documentation regarding clarifications, additional instructions, and changes to the <br />work as construction progresses. Requests for information will be reviewed within five (5) <br />business days of receipt unless noted otherwise. <br />D. Make site visits at intervals appropriate to the stage of construction to observe and become <br />generally familiar with the quality and the progress of the construction work relative to <br />elements designed and specified by American Structurepoint. We have included a total of <br />up to eight (8) architectural job-site visits by one (1) staff for construction observation. <br />E. Issue one (1) punch list from the final job-site visit. Once the punch list has been <br />completed, a certificate of substantial completion will be issued to the AHJ for a certificate <br />of occupancy. Punch list or deficient items with any associated costs can be attached to the <br />substantial completion document. <br />F. At the client’s request, provide Record Drawings as an additional service incorporating the <br />design elements prepared by American Structurepoint. (Note: Record Drawings are not <br />considered “As-Built” drawings. Preparation of “As-Built” drawings is the responsibility <br />of the Construction Manager or General Contractor.) <br />A1.07.05. Reimbursable Expense Allowance <br />A. A reimbursable expense allowance has been included for the project. This allowance will <br />cover travel expenses for same-day trips during the design and construction phases as well <br />as State submittal fees. Building permit fees will be the responsibility of the General <br />Contractor and are not included herein. The Owner will be billed for all expenses under <br />this allowance as they occur and will be notified by Engineer when expenses approach the <br />amount indicated herein. <br /> <br />2. Part 1 – Basic Services is amended to include Section A1.08 – Additional Mechanical, <br />Plumbing and Electrical Services, and shall read as follows: <br /> <br />A1.08 Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical <br />Engineer will engage Advanced Engineering Consultants (AEC) as the MEP design engineer <br />based upon the attached proposal (Attachment 1). <br /> <br />3.
