3 <br /> • Began preparing for development of the former Drewrys Brewery <br /> site by partnering with the Environmental Protection Agency to <br /> remove more than 14,000 tons of debris. <br /> • Provided funding to operate emergency overnight shelter for <br /> unhoused residents during the coldest months of the year through <br /> a partnership with the Center for the Homeless. <br /> • Conducted 726 inspections to ensure basic habitability standards <br /> for tenants as part of the Rental Safety Verification Program <br /> • Provided more than $300,000 in matching grants to activate and <br /> beautify business exteriors, unlocking an additional $327,000 in <br /> private investment. <br /> • Removed 1.8 million pounds of litter and debris and support 20 <br /> neighborhood cleanups <br /> • Worked with neighbors to envision the future of their <br /> neighborhoods by adopting the Monroe-Park Edgewater <br /> neighborhood plan and launching neighborhood planning <br /> processes with LaSalle Park and River Park residents. <br /> • Facilitated more than $700,000 in public and private investment <br /> for energy efficiency and solar upgrades to nonprofit <br /> organizations. <br /> • Invested $90,000 in grassroots, neighborhood-led projects through <br /> the IGNITE program. <br /> • Completed Phase II of the Stephen J.
