SECTION 4 – SANITARY <br />51 <br />4-3.2 (b) PREPARATION <br />Prior to commencing any bypass operations, submit proposed plan(s) to the City Engineer for <br />review, comment, and approval detailing the methods, materials, and procedures for providing <br />bypass during rehabilitation or replacement process. The Bypass Plan shall include the following <br />minimum information: <br />1.) Map or plan detailing the exact location of the bypass system components. <br />2.) Riser and return assemblies with identified valves, fittings, air relief, and other necessary items <br />and sizes. <br />3.) Map or plan detailing the proposed bypass route with pipe sizes, fittings, and protective <br />measures needed. This plan shall include the proposed time(s) operations will begin and end. <br />4.) Provide calculations and documentation the bypass equipment will have sufficient capacity to <br />handle both existing average daily flow and peak flow rates. For combined sewers and sanitary <br />sewers include plan for bypass pumping during wet weather events. <br />5.) Odor Control Plan. <br />6.) Identify and document how the bypass system will be monitored and controlled. <br />7.) Traffic Control Measures and other traffic restrictions identified. <br />8.) Commercial Property Access Plan. <br />9.) Sewer Spill Response Plan. <br />10.) Bypass Duration Limit. <br />11.) Resin curing water release plan
