SECTION 4 – SANITARY <br />44 <br />4-2.4 (b) CAST-IN-PLACE <br />1.) Reinforcing Steel: Reinforcing steel shall comply with INDOT Standard Specifications Section <br />703. All reinforcing steel shall be Grade 60 (Fy=60,000 psi). <br />2.) Concrete: Structural concrete shall comply with INDOT Standard Specifications Section 702. <br />All concrete shall have a twenty-eight (28) day compressive strength of 4,000 psi and air <br />content shall be six percent (6%) with a tolerance of plus or minus one percent (+/- 1%). <br />4-2.4 (c) JOINT SEALANT <br />Manhole section joints shall be sealed as noted in Standard Drawings. <br />4-2.4 (d) FLEXIBLE CONNECTONS <br />All pipe connections to manholes shall be made with integral resilient fittings complying with <br />ASTM C-923. <br />4-2.4 (e) FLOW CHANNEL AND BENCHING <br />Manhole flow channel and benching shall be of Class A concrete, refer to Standard Drawings. <br />4-2.4 (f) ADJUSTING RINGS <br />Adjusting rings shall be pre-cast concrete, refer to Standard Drawing 4-6. <br />4-2.4 (g) CASTING (FRAME AND COVER) <br />Manhole castings shall be heavy duty (H-20 rated) cast iron, refer to Standard Drawing 4-6. <br />4-2.5 BEDDING MATERIALS <br />The pipe bedding materials shall be as shown on Standard Drawing 4-11. <br />4-2.6 CURED IN PLACE PIPING (CIPP) <br />4-2.6 (a) CURED IN PLACE PIPING (CIPP) <br />1.) The CIPP (Cured In-Place Pipe) lining products shall conform to ASTM D-5813 and ASTM <br />F-1216 or ASTM F-1743. The CIPP liner manufacturer shall be ISO certified. <br />2.) The cured liner shall meet the following minimum strength requirements: <br />ASTM Polyester Filled <br />Property Test Method System Polyester System <br />Flexural Strength D790 4,500 psi 4,500 psi <br />Flexural Modulus (initial) D790 300,000 psi 400,000 psi <br />Flexural Modulus (50 year) D790 150,000 psi 200,000 psi
