SECTION 9 – FIXTURES AND FINISHES <br />102 <br />9-2.4 (e) CURB EXTENSIONS/TRAFFIC CALMING MEASURES <br />Traffic calming measures, such as curb extensions, shall be incorporated into designs to meet the <br />intent of the City of South Bend’s “Complete Streets” vision as described in Section 2-2.1(a). <br />Careful consideration shall be extended for the context and expected surrounding land use when <br />reviewing requirements for walks, bike lanes (dedicated or shared), on-street parking, and other <br />amenities for proposed transportation facilities. For existing facilities that are being reconstructed <br />or realigned, these additional features shall be considered and included as required with the <br />proposed design. <br />9-3 SUBMITTALS <br />For all fixtures, developers shall submit the following for City approval for items that are proposed to <br />be installed within the right-of-way: <br />•Manufacturer cut sheet <br />•Proposed fixture location(s) <br />•Proposed fixture orientation <br />•Clear distance from curbs, signals, pedestrian access route, drives, or other fixed features <br />(including but not limited to utilities vaults, electric poles, water valves, hydrants, signage, <br />landscaping, and buildings)
