REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 27,2004 <br /> Common Council. <br /> SECTION V. The Common Council hereby determines that the property owner is <br /> qualified for and is granted Real property tax deduction for a period of five (5) years, and <br /> further determines that the petition complies with Chapter 2, Article 6, of the Municipal <br /> Code of the City of South Bend and Indiana Code 6-1.1-12.1 et seq. <br /> SECTION VI. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its <br /> adoption by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor. <br /> s/Karen L. White <br /> Member of the Common Council <br /> Mr. David Hatch, Executive Director, Habitat for Humanity, 402 E. South Street, South <br /> Bend, Indiana, made the presentation for this bill. <br /> Mr. Hatch advised that Habitat for Humanity plans to build three (3) homes of <br /> approximately 1,120 square feet. The homes will have three or four bedrooms and one <br /> bath. Due to limited construction funding the homes will be built on crawlspaces. <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Resolution at this time. <br /> There being no one present wishing to speak to the Council either in favor or or in <br /> opposition to this Resolution, Councilmember Coleman made a motion to adopt this <br /> Resolution. Councilmember Varner seconded the motion which carried and the <br /> Resolution was adopted by a roll call vote of eight (8) ayes. <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 3390-04 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL <br /> OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br /> DESIGNATING CERTAIN AREAS WITHIN <br /> THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, <br /> COMMONLY KNOWN AS 2306 LINDEN <br /> AVE AND 2229 ORANGE ST. AS A <br /> RESIDENTIALLY DISTRESSED AREA FOR <br /> PURPOSES OF A FIVE (5) YEAR <br /> RESIDENTIAL REAL PROPERTY TAX <br /> ABATEMENT FOR HABITAT FOR <br /> HUMANITY OF ST. JOSEPH COUNTY <br /> WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, has adopted a <br /> Declaratory Resolution designating certain areas within the City as Residentially <br /> Distressed Areas for the purpose of tax abatement consideration; and <br /> WHEREAS, a Declaratory Resolution designated the area commonly known as 2306 W. <br /> Linden Ave. and 2229 Orange St. South Bend, Indiana, and which are more particularly <br /> described as follows: <br /> Street Address Legal Description Key Numbers <br /> 2306 W. Linden Lot 96A Oak Grove First Addition 18-2022-0655 <br /> Fire Station Replat (now consolidated 18-2022-0658 <br /> under Lot 96A Oak Grove Add, Fire <br /> Station Replat). <br /> 34 <br />
