Page 1 of 2 <br />INTER-OFFICE MEMORANDUM <br /> DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br /> DIVISION OF ENGINEERING <br />TO: Theresa Heffner, Clerk <br />Board of Public Works <br />FROM: Scott Kreeger, Project Engineer <br />SUBJECT: 2024 Street and Sewer Materials Bid <br />Award Project 124-004 <br />DATE: March 18, 2023 <br />On March 12, 2024, the Board of Public Works opened and read bids for the above project. <br />Engineering noted American Highway Products, Bit-Mat Products, Klink Trucking, and K-Tech <br />Specialty did not include a signed copy of Addendum No. 1, which addressed the requirement to <br />submit all bid electronically in the Notice to Bidders. The language in Addendum No. 1 did not <br />impact the overall specifications of the materials. Per the attached bid tabulation, Engineering <br />recommends approval of the following awards for the 2024 Street and Sewer Materials Bids: <br />DIVISION A <br />Award to the lowest responsive/responsible bidder: Smith Ready Mix. <br />Due to the needs of the City, Division A will be awarded in its entirety to a single supplier for all <br />Line Items. After further review of the total unit price breakdown, Smith Ready Mix is the lowest <br />overall unit price for Division A. <br /> DIVISION B, Items B-1 <br />Award to the lowest responsive/responsible bidder: Rieth Riley Construction Co., Inc. <br />DIVISION B, Item B-2, and B-5 <br />No bids were received for Division B, Item B-2. Recommendation to proceed to open market. <br />DIVISION B, Items B-3, B-4, and B-6 <br />Award to the lowest responsive/responsible bidder: Klink Trucking, Inc. <br />DIVISION C, Item C-1 <br />Award to the lowest responsive/responsible bidder: BUC Construction Supply, Inc. <br />DIVISION C, Item C-2 <br />Award to the lowest responsive/responsible bidder: Ferguson Waterworks <br />DIVISION D <br />Award to the lowest responsive/responsible bidder: American Highway Products <br />DIVISION E
