Filed in Clerk's Office <br /> SUBSTITUTE BILL NO. 24-07 <br /> MAR 1 1 2024 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 5070-24 Bianca Tirado <br /> City Clerk, South Bend, IN <br /> A RESOLUTION APPOINTING THE INITIAL <br /> COMMUNITY POLICE REVIEW BOARD MEMBERS <br /> WHEREAS, on October 5, 2020, the South Bend Common Council passed Ordinance <br /> No. 10721-20 establishing the Community Police Review Board, Review Board Office, and <br /> position of Review Office Director; and <br /> WHEREAS, Section 2-12.1.13(a) provides that Review Board composed of nine(9) <br /> Members shall be selected from nominees submitted by each member of the Common Council, <br /> including at large Council members; and <br /> WHEREAS, Section 2-12.1.13(a)(1) states that "[nJo Council Member may nominate <br /> more than three (3) candidates for appointment to the Review Board"and requires at least one <br /> (1) Board Member be appointed from each City Councilmanic District; and <br /> WHEREAS, Councilmembers have nominated the following individuals: <br /> Canneth Lee: Sherria Williams (resides in District 1) <br /> Henry Davis, Jr.: Tiana Batteast Waddell (resides in District 2) <br /> Ophelia Gooden-Rogers: Komonique Coppage(resides in District 2) <br /> Sharon McBride: Isacc Hunt(resides in District 3) <br /> Kelly Johnson(resides in District 3) <br /> Troy Warner: LuElla Webster(resides in District 4) <br /> Eli Wax: Jason Kring(resides in District 5) <br /> Sherry Bolden-Simpson: Dennis James Givens (resides District 5) <br /> Sheila Niezgodski: Clara Davis (resides in District 6) <br /> Karen White: Joseph Adams (resides in District 5) <br /> Lori Hamann: Dr. De' Bryant (resides in District 1) <br /> Rachel Tomas Morgan: Cheryl Ashe (resides in District 5) <br /> Oliver Davis: Otis V.
