CITY OF SOUTH BEND HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br /> National Register Nominations <br /> Staff reviewed and the Commission Approved 3 Nation Register Nominations. One (1) individual site, St. <br /> Adalbert's Church, School and Rectory and two (2) Districts; Edgewater Place and Taylor's Field. <br /> Digitization <br /> Staff continued to scan negatives, blueprints and other files for long term archiving. <br /> Speaking Events/Training <br /> Staff conducted three "Window 101 Workshops" in conjunction with Indiana Landmarks and South Bend <br /> TradeWorks. Staff plans to continue to provide these programs in 2023. <br /> Section 106 Review (Preliminary) <br /> Staff conducted 115 preliminary Section 106 Reviews in support of other City of South Bend departments <br /> efforts to deploy Federal moneys. This includes programs like administered on behalf of the United States <br /> Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), including lead remediation grants, "Rebuilding <br /> Together", rental assistance programs, as well as the first-time homebuyers program. <br /> APRA Requests <br /> Staff completed 25 APRA (Access to Public Records Act) Requests. <br /> Standards and Guidelines <br /> The Commission updated the standards & guidelines (for all districts & group B). As part of the <br /> process staff hosted 7 community engagement sessions to gather feedback and input from <br /> residents. <br /> Top Ten Most Endangered List <br /> The Commission compiled a list of the top 10 most endangered properties - in order to advocate <br /> for their preservation & encourage collaboration & action. <br /> Southhold Preservation Awards <br /> Presented 5 property owners with a Southhold preservation awards (last presented in 2016) <br /> Appeals <br /> There were zero appeals to the Common Council or County Council. <br /> Page 2 <br />
