abuse disorders and have appropriate medical training to interpret <br />and evaluate an individual's positive test result together with the <br />employee's medical history and any other relevant biomedical <br />information. The MRO can be an employee of the Company or a <br />private physician performing review services for the Company. <br />(d) The collection facility shall follow the appropriate chain of custody <br />protocol established in accordance with federal regulations and the <br />testing laboratory. <br />2. Testing Procedures. <br />(a) Testing will be performed by an independent laboratory certified by <br />the United States Department of Health and Human Services. All <br />testing should be done under the direction of a board -certified <br />forensic toxicologist. The testing laboratory should also be a <br />participant in the College of American Pathologists accreditation <br />program and the accreditation program offered by the State of <br />Indiana. <br />(b) The testing laboratory will define and publish an appropriate chain <br />of custody protocol in accordance with federal and state regulations. <br />I. MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY <br />1. All management employees (including supervisors) are responsible for <br />maintaining a drug- and alcohol -free environment. At a minimum, all <br />management employees will receive basic training on identification of <br />behavioral and psychological signs of alcohol and substance abuse. <br />2. In addition to the basic training, certain management employees who are <br />responsible for identifying employees, including CDL Employees, who <br />appear to be unfit to perform their duties safely due to alcohol or substance <br />abuse, will additionally receive Company provided DOT Supervisor <br />Training in accordance with Department of Transportation, Federal Motor <br />Carrier Safety Regulations. <br />3. Any supervisor who believes an employee is in an unfit condition and <br />cannot continue to work shall report his/her observations to the Project <br />Manager or Safety Director and shall complete the Observation Checklist. <br />In <br />
