<br />APPROVAL OF LICENSE APPLICATION RENEWAL FOR MASSAGE ESTABLISHMENT
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that the Board is in receipt of favorable recommendations from the Fire
<br />Department, Building Department and Police Department for a License Application Renewal for
<br />Veda Salon & Day Spa, Inc., located at 2041 East Ireland Road. Upon a motion made by Mr.
<br />Inks, seconded by Mr. Mecham and carried, the renewal of the License was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF APPLICATION FOR OPEN AIR LICENSE
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that the Board is in receipt of favorable recommendations from the Division of
<br />Engineering, Code Enforcement, Building Department, and Community Investment for a
<br />License for The Wiener Shack Grill, 55160 Buckeye Road, Osceola, Indiana 46561, or a hot dog
<br />cart at the corner of Jefferson Boulevard and Lafayette Boulevard. The cart will be open March
<br />7, 2013 through December 7, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Engineering stated they must
<br />leave a 5' clearance for handicapped accessibility. Upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded
<br />by Mr. Mecham and carried, the License Application was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF APPLICATION FOR RENEWAL OF BLANKET TRANSIENT
<br />MERCHANT LICENSE
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that the Board is in receipt of favorable recommendations for the St. Joseph
<br />County 4 -H Fair, Inc., 5117 South Ironwood Road, South Bend, Indiana 46614, application for a
<br />renewal of their Blanket Transient Merchant License for the 4 -H Fair from June 28, 2013 to July
<br />6, 2013 and various events on various weekends throughout the year. Upon a motion made by
<br />Mr. Inks, seconded by Mr. Mecham and carried, the License renewal was approved.
<br />FAVORABLE RECOMMENDATION - PETITION TO VACATE THE NORTH /SOUTH
<br />ALLEY EAST OF PORTAGE AVENUE_ AND NORTH OF MARION STREET TO THE
<br />FIRST EAST /WEST ALLEY
<br />Mr. Gilot indicated that Mr. Paul Crowley, 726 East Washington Street, South Bend, Indiana
<br />46617, on behalf of Mr. Frank Linarello, 327 West Marion Street, South Bend, Indiana 46601,
<br />has submitted a request to vacate the above referenced alley. Mr. Gilot advised the Board is in
<br />receipt of favorable recommendations concerning this Vacation Petition from the Area Plan
<br />Commission, Police Department, Fire Department, Solid Waste, Community & Economic
<br />Development and Engineering. Area Plan stated the vacation would not hinder the growth or
<br />orderly development of the unit or neighborhood in which it is located or to which it is
<br />contiguous. The vacation would leave Parcel 18- 1018 -0716 without public access. The vacation
<br />may make access to the lands of the aggrieved person by means of public way difficult or
<br />
