Klosinski, P.E., Assistant City Engineer <br />SUBJECT: 119-109 Wastewater CNG Compressor Upgrade (PROJ00000017 / <br />PR00027076) <br />Agenda Request – Title Sheet & Request to Advertise <br />DATE: January 16, 2024 <br />The Divisions of Engineering, Wastewater, Solid Waste, and Central Services request that the <br />Board of Public Works approve a Title Sheet and Request to Advertise for Public Bids for Project <br />No. 119-109R Wastewater CNG Compressor Upgrade at its Regular Meeting on January 23, 2024. <br />This project is being re-bid since no bids were received in November 2023 at the original bid <br />opening. <br />Project Background <br />The existing CNG Fuel Station Compressor is nearing its end-of-life and must be replaced. In <br />addition, the existing CNG Fuel Station Compressor is not able to provide adequate support to the <br />CNG fleet for overnight filling due to the limitations of the existing compressor. <br />The subject project will provide a new CNG Fuel compressor unit, electrical transformer, <br />switchgear, control panel, and additional fuel poles to support new CNG Fleet vehicles. The new <br />system will provide a higher capacity per hour filling rate. The goal of this project is to fill all CNG <br />vehicles at the fill station overnight within a 12-hour period to provide better efficiency and reduce <br />the number of trips to the Transpo CNG Station. <br />Public Bid Schedule <br />Advertisement 1: January 26, 2024 <br />Advertisement 2: February 2, 2024 <br />Pre-Bid Meeting: February 7, 2024 (10:00 AM at WWTP Headworks Building) <br />Bid Opening: February 27, 2024 <br />Bid Award (tentative): March 12, 2024 <br />The Plans and Specifications are in final revisions and will be ready prior to the first <br />advertisement on Friday, January 26, 2024. <br />Funding for this project is directed out of the Sewage Works Capital – Wastewater Capital, <br />Account 642-06-605-514-442005. <br />For questions regarding the subject agenda request, contact Jacob M.
