Alternates 1 and 2 (either/or) refer to security <br />system enhancements. Alternate 3 is paver installation on the 7th floor patio. <br /> <br />Four bids were received, with a breakdown of the bids as follows: <br /> <br /> Base Bid Alt. 1 Alt. 2 Alt. 3 Met M/W Goals? <br />RAM Construction $924,000 $82,000 $11,000 $164,220 YES <br />Slatile Roofing $975,000 $79,000 $11,000 $176,000 YES <br />Browning Chapman $997,963 $82,000 $11,000 $205,660 NO <br />Golf Construction $1,276,586 $54,000 $27,000 $156,450 NO* <br /> <br />*The Contractor was able to meet the goals, but firms outside the City’s geographic region were <br />used, and thus would not comply with the City MWBE Ordinance. <br /> <br />The bids from Browning Chapman and Golf Construction are rejected as non-responsive for not <br />meeting the M/WBE goals for the project. <br /> <br />The low bid from RAM Construction is complete and responsive. RAM Construction is now pre- <br />qualified as a Responsible Bidder. I recommend award of the Base Bid, Alternate 1, and <br />Alternate 3 for Liberty Tower TIF Project – Parking Garage to RAM Construction, in the <br />amount of $1,170,220. Funding is available through PR-00027141. <br /> <br /> <br />
