BILL NO. <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $103,000.00 FROM THE <br />EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT <br />FUND FOR EQUIPMENT AND REPAIRS FOR THE SOUTH BEND <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: <br />In order to meet requirements for firefighting safety and <br />maintenance, certain purchases and improvements are needed for <br />breathing apparatus, hose, vehicles, and repairs to Fire Station 3. <br />Funds are needed to pay for the cost of these purchases and <br />improvements. These funds are available from the Emergency Medical <br />Services Capital Improvement Fund. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the South Bend Common <br />Council, as follows: <br />SECTION I. The following sum of money is hereby appropriated <br />and ordered set apart out of the Emergency Medical Services Capital <br />Improvement Fund for the projects in the amount setforth below: <br />Account Description Amount <br />429.0 Other Equipment (Breathing apparatus $ 73,000.00 <br />and 5" hose) <br />427.0 Motor Equipment (2 vehicles) 15,000.00 <br />360.0 Descripiion Building and Structure 15,000.00 <br />(Repairs to Fire Station 3) <br />Total Amount $103,000.00 <br />SECTION II: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect <br />from and after its passage by the Common Council, approval by the <br />Mayor, and authorization by the State Board of Tax Commissioners. <br />Mdbber ot the omm ounce <br />
