BILL NO. <br />ORDINANCE NO. `7 4 % —$'q <br />AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING FUNDS FROM THE SURPLUS <br />BARRETT LAW ACCOUNT TO THE GENERAL FUND OF THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND. <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: <br />The City of South Bend, having established a General <br />Improvement Fund under I.C. 36 -9 -17, finds that it has money in the <br />Surplus Barrett Law Account for which no obligations or potential <br />obligations exist, which arise out of the operation of the Barrett <br />Law, for which the surplus Barrett Law money was accumulated or may <br />be used. Notice of intention to transfer Surplus Barrett Law Account <br />money to the General Fund has been published in accordance with I.C. <br />5 -3 -1. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL of the <br />City of South Bend, as follows: <br />SECTION I. The South Bend Common Council finds that it has <br />money in the Surplus Barrett Law Account for which there are no <br />obligations or potential obligations arising out of the operation of <br />the Barrett Law for which the surplus Barrett Law account money was <br />accumulated or may be used. <br />SECTION II. The following accounts shall be decreased and <br />increased in the lowing amounts: <br />Decrease: <br />Surplus Barrett Law Account $211,675.20 <br />Total Decrease $211,675.20 <br />Increase: <br />General Fund $211,675.20 <br />Total Increase $211,675.20 <br />SECTION III.
