"This administration has <br /> put a focus on good government and customer service, and having such a qualified and energetic <br /> team member who is strengthening relationships throughout the community will help enhance <br /> our level of service and engagement for all residents." <br /> A native of South Bend and a graduate of Washington High School, Cherri Peate is a dedicated <br /> public servant whose passion is to serve her community. She received her Bachelor of Arts from <br /> Indiana University Purdue University of Indianapolis (IUPUI) in Sociology, a Certificate of <br /> Completion in Program for Management: Community and Voluntary Services at All Hallows <br /> College in Dublin, Ireland, and a Master of Science in Public Service Management from DePaul <br /> University in Chicago, Illinois. At DePaul, she became a member of the Golden Key <br /> International Honour Society. <br /> "It is with great pleasure that I accept the position of Director of Community Outreach to work in <br /> this administration," said Peate. "The support that I will receive from them will help me build <br /> great relationships with individuals, groups, and community organizations in South Bend. I am <br /> excited and pleased to work with such qualified people." <br /> Cherri has received professional training in the areas of social media, branding, fundraising, <br /> Victim-Offender Reconciliation Mediation, sustainability and innovation, policy design and <br /> program evaluation.
