Approval of Minutes <br />Mrs. Kolata noted that paragraph two of item 3 of the draft minutes of the <br />April 19 meeting needed to be corrected to read ..."bids will have been <br />received on the construction of the garage." <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Davey, seconded by Mr. Wroblewski and unanimously <br />carried, the Authority approved the Minutes of the Special Meeting of May <br />l3, 1988 as corrected. <br />3. Adoption of Resolution No 4, a Resolution of the South Bend Redevelopment <br />Authority approving final plans, specifications, and cost estimates for the <br />St Joseph/Wayne Parking Facility and approving an Agency Agreement between <br />the Authority and the City of South Bend by and through its Board of Public <br />Mrs. Kolata explained that Resolution No. 4 is the next required step to <br />construct the parking garage. The final cost estimate for the project is <br />$3,087,800.00 plus a 10% contingency of $308,800. This figure does not <br />include the fees for Walker Parking Consultants' services, the bond issuance <br />costs and the finishing of the retail space. The resolution indicates the <br />Authority's approval of the final plans, specifications, and cost estimates <br />for the construction; it approves the execution of the Agency Agreement with <br />the City of South Bend through its Board of Public Works; and authorizes and <br />directs the Authority to file a copy of the Agency Agreement with the Board <br />of Public Works along with a copy of the plans, specifications and cost <br />estimates. <br />Mrs. Kolata also explained the Agency Agreement. This document designates <br />the Board of Public Works to act as the Authority's agent for purposes of <br />constructing the garage and sets out the terms of that arrangement. It <br />-1- <br />
