JOSEPH COUNTY, IN Executive Director <br /> Room 1140 County-City Building South Bend, Indiana 46601 (219) 284-9571 <br /> March 20, 1985 <br /> 49.4649The Honorable Common Council <br /> City of South Bend <br /> County-City Bldg. - 4th Floor <br /> South Bend, In 46601 <br /> RE: A proposed ordinance initiated by Councilman Puzzello amending Chapter 21 <br /> of the South Bend Municipal Code, entitled Zoning, concerning off-street <br /> parking in the Central Business District Core, by amending Section 21-104 <br /> "Exempted Central Business Core Area" of said Chapter by deleting from the <br /> Exempted Central Business Core Area land lying east of St. Joseph Street <br /> south of Wayne Street and land lying south of Jefferson Boulevard east of <br /> St. Joseph Street and also by expanding the Exempted Central Business Core <br /> Area to include the west half of the block bounded by Western Avenue on <br /> the north, Michigan Street on the east, Monroe Street on the south and <br /> Main Street on the west, City of South Bend <br /> Gentlemen: <br /> The above referenced ordinance initiated by Councilman Puzzello was legally <br /> advertised March 8 and March 9, 1985. The Area Plan Commission gave it a <br /> public hearing on March 19, 1985, at which time the following action was taken: <br /> Upon a motion by Robert Lehman, being seconded by C. J. <br /> Witz and unanimously carried, the proposed ordinance <br /> initiated by Councilman Puzzello amending Chapter 21 of <br /> the South Bend Municipal Code, entitled Zoning, <br /> concerning off-street parking in the Central Business <br /> District Core, by amending Section 21-104 "Exempted <br /> Central Business Core Area" of said Chapter by deleting <br /> from the Exempted Central Business Core Area land lying <br /> east of St. Joseph Street south of Wayne Street and <br /> land lying south of Jefferson Boulevard east of St. <br /> Joseph Street and also by expanding the Exempted <br /> Central Business Core Area to include the west half of <br /> the block bounded by Western Avenue on the north, <br /> Michigan Street on the east, Monroe Street on the south <br /> and Main Street on the west, City of South Bend is sent <br /> to the Common Council with a favorable recommendation, <br /> as tendered <br /> Serving: South Bend, Lakeville, New Carlisle, North Liberty, Roseland & St. Joseph County, IN <br />
