Page 1 of 1 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />INTER-OFFICE MEMORANDUM <br /> <br /> DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br /> DIVISION OF ENGINEERING <br />TO: Theresa Heffner, Clerk <br />Board of Public Works <br />FROM: Zach Hurst, PE, Sr. Project Engineer <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Award Bid - Project No. 123-068 <br />2023 Residential Demolitions <br />DATE: 12/04/2023 <br />On November 28, 2023, the Board of Public Works opened and read bids for the above project. <br /> <br />The scope of work is to demolish twenty-one (21) residential houses throughout the City. <br /> <br />A summary of the bids is as follows: <br />• Ritschard Bros.: $368,493.00 <br />• Green Demolition Contractors: $372,450.00 <br />• Indiana Earth, Inc.: $711,260.00 <br /> <br />A fourth bid was received from Taylor Maid Trucking, LLC, but only provided an hourly rate for <br />trucking instead of pricing for house demolition. That bid is rejected as non-responsive. The <br />remaining three bids were reviewed and found complete and responsive. <br /> <br />MWBE Analysis for Ritschard Bros. bid: <br />MBE goal: 1.4% <br />• Met via 1st Class Logistics: $19,824.00 (5.38%) <br />WBE goal: 4.6% <br />• Met via Ritschard Bros.: $313,220.00 (85.0%) <br />• Met via State Barricading: $1,460.00 (0.40%) <br /> <br />I recommend award of the base bid for 2023 Residential Demolitions to Ritschard Bros., in the <br />amount of $368,493.00. Funding is available through PR-00028089. <br />
