ORDINANCE NO. 7440 ' 5 <br /> AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $45, 000. 00 FROM THE <br /> GENERAL FUND OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br /> TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR A FACILITY FOR DISPLAYING <br /> THE STUDEBAKER AUTOMOBILE COLLECTION <br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: <br /> The City of South Bend, Indiana owns and maintains the <br /> Studebaker Collection and must provide suitable facilities for storing and <br /> displaying of these vehicles . The City' s current lease of facilities for <br /> that purpose is terminated as of May 31, 1985. Through a land contract <br /> purchase of these facilities the City can both provide facilities for <br /> display and maintain other options as the permanent home of the <br /> collection. Funding is now needed to complete that land contract <br /> purchase. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: <br /> SECTION I. The sum of $45, 000 . 00 is hereby appropriated for <br /> the year of 1985 from the General Fund of the City of South Bend, <br /> Indiana. This appropriation is to be administered by the Department of <br /> Administration and Finance. <br /> ACCOUNT AMOUNT <br /> 412 . 0 $ 45, 000 . 00 <br /> SECTION II.
