The ordinance makes an additional <br /> appropriation from the General Fund of the City of South Bend in the <br /> amount of $125, 000 to be used for economic development activities. <br /> As you are aware, the City is in the process of upgrading its efforts <br /> in the area of economic development for our community. This includes <br /> heightened efforts in attracting businesses, different initiatives in <br /> developing redevelopment areas, and increased efforts towards the <br /> revitalization of those areas.
