<br /> <br />INTER-OFFICE MEMORANDUM <br /> <br /> DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br /> DIVISION OF ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES <br /> <br /> <br />TO: Board of Public Works <br />Theresa Heffner, Clerk <br />FROM: Leslie Biek, P.E., Assistant City Engineer <br />SUBJECT: PSA for Mishawaka Ave Improvements <br />121-072; PROJ 380; PR 28737 <br />DATE: 11/1/2023 <br />The attached PSA is for A&Z Engineering to design roadway improvements on Mishawaka Ave <br />between Longfellow Ave and Emerson Ave. Improvements include a road diet, water replacement, <br />separated bike lane, improved pedestrian access and bumpouts at the Longfellow and Mishawaka <br />intersection. <br /> <br />The timeline is to have bid documents ready early spring for construction in 2024. <br /> <br />It is requested that the Board of Public Works approve of the PSA with A&Z Engineering <br />LLC for the design of the Mishawaka Ave Improvements project (PN 121-072) for a contract <br />price of $228,460. <br /> <br />Thank you for your consideration of this request. <br /> <br />
