With the Century Center now under <br />your perview, we look forward to working with you to reposition this important asset and the adjacent connected <br />Primary Buildings for the South Bend community. As requested, the following represents our revised design <br />services proposal for the Master Planning of the Century Center District. <br /> <br />PROJECT SCOPE <br /> <br />The Century Center was designed by Johnson/Burgee Architects and constructed in 1977. It is architecturally a <br />modern styled building, constructed primarily of brick with angular skylights atop the circulation corridors and a <br />Great Hall overlooking the St. Joseph River. Constructed as a Civic Center, it houses the Convention Center, the <br />South Bend Museum of Art, and the Bendix Theatre. <br /> <br />The existing Century Center includes: <br /> <br /> Exhibition Hall 24,472 NSF <br /> Great Hall 16,640 NSF <br /> Discovery Ballroom 11,627 NSF <br /> Meeting Rooms (18) 18,138 NSF <br /> Bendix Theatre 694 Seats <br /> Recital Hall 164 Seats <br /> Museum of Art 35,000 NSF <br /> Prefunction/Registration
