ORDINANCE NO. ;r,s jD - g -1 <br /> AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $264, 000 <br /> FROM THE SEWAGE WORKS OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE <br /> FUND FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING UNANTICIPATED <br /> EXPENDITURES FOR CHEMICALS AND ELECTRIC CURRENT. <br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: <br /> WHEREAS, the City has determined that there has been an <br /> increase in expenditures in various line accounts at the Sewage Treatment <br /> Plant; and <br /> WHEREAS, the increases were not anticipated and budgeted for <br /> in the electrical current and chemical accounts and these items are <br /> necessary to keep the Waste Treatment Plant waste load within the required <br /> Environmental Protection Agency guidelines. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the <br /> City of South Bend, Indiana as follows: <br /> SECTION I. The sum of $264, 000. 00 is hereby <br /> appropriated for the year 1985 from the Sewage Works Operation and <br /> Maintenance Fund of the City of South Bend, Indiana as described below: <br /> 229 . 0 Chemicals $53, 000. 00 <br /> 351 . 0 Electrical Current 211, 000. 00 <br /> TOTAL $264, 000. 00 <br /> SECTION II.
