ORDINANCE NO. <br /> AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $100, 000 FROM THE <br /> GENERAL FUND FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING GROUP INSURANCE <br /> AND PERF (POLICE AND FIRE SHARE) EXPENSES WITHIN THE BUDGET <br /> OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATION AND FINANCE <br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: <br /> WHEREAS, the City of South Bend has determined that a reallocation of <br /> funds within the General Fund is necessary relative to the Executive Order <br /> issued in January 1985 ; and <br /> WHEREAS, reductions were made within the budget of the Department of <br /> Administration and Finance to facilitate capital expenditures within the <br /> Fire Department, Street Department and Police Department; and <br /> WHEREAS, it has been determined that appropriations are necessary to <br /> meet contractual obligations for Group Insurance and PERF expenditures <br /> within the Department of Administration and Finance. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: <br /> SECTION I. The sum of $100,000 is hereby appropriated for the year <br /> 1985 from the General Fund of the City of South Bend as described below: <br /> Department of Administration & Finance <br /> 147. 0 Group Insurance $ 69, 258 <br /> 148. 2 PERF (Police & Fire) 30 ,742 <br /> TOTAL $100,000 <br /> SECTION II.
